“Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I
must be about my Father’s business?”
Your journey to the fullness of identity, calling, purpose and destiny is the heart of this ministry. Like any natural journey, it is unfolding. It usually takes many unexpected twists and turns, and we learn and grow along the way. Walking with the Lord is full of opportunity and life changing.
In Luke 2:41-52 The boy Jesus was journeying back from Jerusalem when he made the stop at the temple unbeknownst to his folks. Sitting in the midst of the teachers, He was listening to them and asking them questions. He had input as well because scripture says all who heard Him were astonished at His understanding and answers. After His parents finally find Him in the temple He responds to their angst with “Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?”
This is such a perfect example of the relationship the Lord wants with us. Like the boy, Jesus, the Father has desire for us to leave the pack and hang out in the temple with Him. To learn His ways, do His will and become sons. To shepherd His people, and build His Kingdom.
Danville, Kentucky is where my husband and I call home. My husband is senior pastor of Cornerstone Assembly of God in Danville. We spend our days loving the people we shepherd as well as enjoy family & friends. Together we have 6 amazing kids, 21 grand-kids, and 2 great grands.
Our desire is that you are encouraged and built up to continue in all God has called you do be, do and accomplish for the Kingdom of God. Because in you, being (or doing) your part, the Body gets built up. Who we are and the gifts we possess, the Lord has need of, for ministry to others.
Fullness in God is not for the weak of heart or the satisfied. But for those willing to go the distance, the cost is everything. Few understand it and even fewer will go. This is the business of the Father. This is My Father’s Business.
